Los módulos de Sovello PURE Power X-Series valorados como buenos en PV+TEST 2011 ( nota en ingles)
Sovello Rated “Good” in PV+Test
The Pure Power X-Series modules of Sovello AG, a solar module producer headquartered in
Thalheim, Germany, received the score “Good” in the 2011 PV+Test. Focusing on module quality
and developed in cooperation of TÜV Rheinland and Solarpraxis AG, the test results were published
in today’s edition of the trade magazine “photovoltaik.” A total of 25 parameters such as
performance, durability and electrical safety provide extensive information about the modules
evaluated.
Of the eight manufacturers having submitted their products to this very rigorous test, Sovello
scored particularly well regarding low light performance – a characteristic that is of enormous
importance for regions such as Northern Europe where maximum irradiation does not occur year
round.
The Sovello-specific benefits originating from the usage of the patented STRING RIBBON
TM wafers
such as shortest energy amortization time as well as worldwide lowest silicon usage per watt peak
were not considered in the test.
The PV+Test, which the examiners conduct as an extension to usual certifications, was developed
in conjunction with industry and academia, and is endorsed by an independent approval seal based
on the highest standards. For the first time, consumers are able to access solid information about
the quality of the submitted PV modules as a result of rigorous testing under the supervision of an
independent committee consisting of representatives from manufacturers and research institutes.
For Dr. Ted Scheidegger, CEO of Sovello AG, the ‘PV+Test’ seal of approval “is an important step
towards providing more transparency in the increasing variety of PV products from around the
world. I am evermore pleased that our module clearly stands out among the crowd together with
other German premium products.“
About Sovello:
Sovello is an integrated manufacturer of solar wafers, solar cells and solar modules. By means of the so-called photovoltaic
effect solar modules transform sun light into electricity. One of the key differentiators of Sovello’s high-performance quality
products vs. traditional multi crystalline modules is the resource friendly production process and short energy pay-back
time.
Sovello operates three production plants in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. The first plant, SV1, started
production in June 2006. In June 2007, the second production facility, SV2, came online. With SV3, the third plant recently
finished, Sovello's nominal production capacity has reached about 180 Megawattpeak (MWp). Sovello AG employs about
1.250 people in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. With the launch of Sovello Projects and Sovello Canada in 2010, Sovello has expanded its
scope to the international turn-key solutions business.

Módulos KYOCERA 210w pasan prueba del TUV Rheinland sobre durabilidad a largo periodo
Proving the high quality and reliability of Kyocera‟s modules
KYOCERA Solar Modules Certified by TUV Rheinland after Passing Independent „Long-Term Sequential Test‟
Kyoto / Neuss, 24 January 2011 − Kyocera Corporation announced today that its solar modules are the first in the world to have passed all "Long-Term Sequential Tests" performed by TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd, who independently evaluates quality and reliability of solar modules. The company had announced interim results last October, but now announces the full certification of the testing.
The company’s conventional 210-watt solar module was the test subject, and has proven to maintain a constant level of power output throughout the rigorous testing — which compared to standard industry testing methodology evaluates modules over a longer time period.
"Data collected from three large-scale solar power plants in Spain and Thailand show that our modules are performing at an approximately 16% higher power output level than the installers’ own original estimates," stated Tetsuo Kuba, president of Kyocera Corporation. "TUV Rheinland’s test results further prove the high quality of Kyocera modules, and we will continue to ensure the long-term reliability of our products through both internal and external evaluations in the future."
The Long-Term Sequential Test evaluates modules with four sub-
tests: Damp Heat, Thermal Cycling, Humidity Freeze, and Bypass Diode. These test the module’s overall performance and quality by putting it under harsher conditions than those standardized by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Furthermore, while conventional testing dictates that a separate individual module be used per sub-test, the Long-Term Sequential Test carries out all four sub-tests on the same module, thereby evaluating it under conditions closer to those a product faces over its actual lifetime.
